Surgical Services

Many horses will need some form of surgery in their life. Oftentimes, we just need to suture a wound back together. However there are other procedures that are often quite necessary. such as castration.

Surgical procedures can be done under standing sedation in association with nerve blocks or under general anesthesia. We are able to provide short anesthetic and standing surgical procedures on the farm. However more extensive procedures will require referral. The procedures we offer typically take less than an hour to perform and are fairly routine. For instance, here’s a brief list of surgical services:

  • Laceration Repair
  • Castration
  • Mass Removal
  • Enucleation

If you have a question about a specific procedure, please contact us and we will let you know if we are able to help you or if you require referral.
